I have been a fan of yours for many years. I sing two of your songs (at Karaoke). I sing, "These boots are made for walking," and also, "Something stupid." I am going to a Halloween/Karaoke party and will be dressing up as you. I am in the process of searching the web for hairstyles and makeup that you would have worn in the 60s-70s. Can you (or your assistant) give me some tips please?

i'm now 23 years old. so i'm sadly to late to live in the glorious time of your dad. But the Music is still living on and on and on. For me it is hard to get to know how the time of the giants like your dad or Dean Martin etc was. The only way to get to know a little part of that time is the music and those videos of you and your dad and all the other great stars. I love the song you are singin together with your dad (something stupid) . it is such a great sound. evrey time i hear the song in the radio or somewhere else there is something like ice on my back. i'm starting to chill. I searched so many places in the internet for a video, where you are singin this song together with your dad - but there is nothing to find. Does such a video exists?

Hi Nancy!
Just want to let you know again how my Dad, Jeff, loves the autographed photo you sent him! (Just a reminder--I wrote "It's For My Dad" for him.)
Tomorrow, Sept. 18th, he will be 90 years old! He's now in a nursing home, but doing very well. He's been bragging about that song and that photo to everyone there for months!...(I now have custody of the original for safe keeping...he worries it may get stolen or misplaced!)
So I scanned it and printed it out on a t-shirt transfer, and ironed it on a nice tan shirt for one of his birthday presents! Looks awesome!
I KNOW he'll flip over it! And will finally be able to prove his bragging rights!--I also made him a copy of the original and framed that for him as well.
And there will be a live DJ there tomorrow, so I'll take your CD of the song and have it played for him, after the story of how you came to record it is told.

Have been captivated by "Boots" since FMJ as I'm sure many of your fans have been. Your song captures the aura of the sixty's and Kubrick was smart to use your great song to set the mood for the tet scenes to follow in the movie.
I am sure this was not your intention but at least it got me to hear your incredible sexy and surreal voice.
I hope this comes off as a compliment. To be honest I don't know much about you other than the obvious bio stuff about you and your father but I am interested in down loading more NS tunes. Hope all is good with you.

Hi Nancy,
I am wondering if you may remember my mother.
She passed away in a car accident when I was about 12 years old.
My aunt's tell me that she used to sing back up for you, I don't know any deatails except it would have been before 1975, I suppose. Maybe in the 60's.
Her name was Lenora Smith-madien name,
Sometimes she was called Lee. Other last names could have been Ward or Adkison. She was from Florida.
Just wondering and hoping I could find out more about her.

It seems like just yesterday when I got off of a chopper in Phan Rang South Vietnam. We had been out in the bush for 60 days and we sure did smell like it. As the choppers lifted off we could hear the sweetest voice I have ever herd comming from an ampitheater about 100 yards away. Me and my team walked over and sort of took over the front row of seats actually a bench and sat down and just watched you singing a song. When you finished the song you startes singing these boots are made for walking, and you came off the stage and stood right in front of us and then you sat in my lap. I know it took a lot for you to put up with the way I smelled but from that day foreward you were the greatest and to this day you still are #1 in all of us Veterans.
